1. Can I use Liquid Weather to age any kind of brick, stone, concrete or tile - so that they blend with existing work ?

ANSWER : Almost all masonry, in any colours ( for example red , buff or grey, bricks ) will be immediately “weathered” by the natural pigments in Liquid Weather. The only exceptions are those bricks or roof tiles with smooth, hard surfaces such as engineering bricks.

2. Can I treat horizontal surfaces, such as newly surfaced driveways, as well as walls and roofs ?

ANSWER : Many people want to “age” the appearance of bright new bricks or concrete on paths or drives. Liquid Product is ideal for this and will not wear off.

3. Is the effect of Liquid Weather permanent ?

ANSWER : Yes. Once applied, you will never need to use the product again. Its effect cannot be removed - so that’s why you should always test first on a small inconspicuous area to make sure you are happy with the result before proceeding to the main area you wish to treat.

4. Are different shades available ?

ANSWER : No. Since natural weathering, over time, is caused by atmospheric particles which darken the surface of any coloured substrate, Liquid Weather only mimics the same darkening effect. It is NOT a paint and will not otherwise change the colour of the surface.

To achieve a lighter effect than standard the product is diluted with water. To achieve a darker effect than standard more coats are advised.

5. After application will Liquid Weather alter the characteristics of the surface ?

ANSWER : Other than providing the desired weathering effect, Liquid Weather leaves the surface unchanged so that it will continue to weather at the same rate as surrounding surfaces.

6. Is Liquid Weather easy and safe to use ?

ANSWER : Nothing could be much easier, or safer, since no special precautions are needed - other than sensibly wearing gloves and goggles or safety glasses to apply by BRUSH, SPONGE or SPRAYER. The formula uses a natural staining material, and water based resin, in an aqueous base.

7. How much do I need for the job I have in mind ?

ANSWER : You will find Liquid Weather economical - and remember its effect is permanent. As a rule of thumb, count the number of bricks or square metres of surface, and allow a litre of Liquid Weather for every 400 bricks or 6.6sq metres. Of course, different surfaces may give somewhat different coverage rates.

8. How can your product claim to save money ?

ANSWER : Cheaper bricks, such as commons, can be used and then mellowed with Liquid Weather to give a more expensive look. Also by carefully using Liquid Weather, left-over or otherwise redundant bricks can be used for other jobs – particularly useful in the building trade !

9. I have recently given my garden a make-over with new statuary, pond edging and surrounding walls. It looks rather garish. Can Liquid Weather help ?

ANSWER : Just the job for Liquid Weather. After application your garden will look instantly mature – as if your new improvements have been there for years.

10. OK I’m convinced. Now where can I get hold of Liquid Weather ?

ANSWER. : Ask at Builders and Plumbers Merchants, Garden Centres or DIY and Ironmonger outlets everywhere. If you have difficulty in obtaining Liquid Weather locally you can [order on-line] direct from us – BUT remember we have to charge more since we have to cover the costs of postage and packing.
