Keeping Clean

By coating the exterior of concrete, masonry and tiles with a tough membrane, that is bound to the surface through the microscopic penetration of pores and tiny cracks, Water Shield will actively help to keep buildings clean.  Airborne dirt and contaminants, including soot and salt, find it harder to adhere to a treated surface. At the same time, since protracted wetting of a façade is necessary for moss, fungi and algae to grow, they are repelled by a dry Water Shielded surface.

Energy Saving

The thermal properties of building materials, and the degree to which they waste or save energy, are greatly influenced by their moisture content .  Dry walls are better insulators than wet walls. Studies have shown that heat loss can be reduced by over 25% if walls are dry – which Water Shield ensures by allowing masonry to dry while preventing the ingress of water.
